Monarch Migration

This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Lake Lure, NC in October when I noticed multiple Monarch butterflies out and about that day.  Not what you would call an actual "migration" but it was more butterflies of a single species that I had seen flying around at one time in recent memory.  That combined with the fall colors inspired the painting.
